Eligibility requirements
Australian citizenship
In accordance with the Public Service Act 1999, all employees of the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator must be Australian citizens, or eligible to become Australian citizens.
Qualifications
Some positions in our Agency will require mandatory qualifications as part of the eligibility requirements. These requirements will be noted in the applicant information pack when the position is advertised. If the position you are applying for has mandatory qualification/s, you must be able to provide evidence of completion.
If you hold an overseas qualification, you must apply for recognition against the Australian Qualification Framework through your relevant State or Territory Overseas Qualifications Unit.
Security clearance
In accordance with Section 22 (6) of the Public Service Act 1999, a security clearance is a condition of employment for employees of the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator.
All employees are required to undergo comprehensive security clearance processing prior to commencement, and revalidated at regular intervals, determined by the clearance level.
All applicants are advised to visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency- external site website ahead of time for more information and to prepare for their security clearance application should they be found suitable.
