It ensures that these systems are functioning effectively and that the organisation is adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
Ministerial Advisory Committee

Under the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Act 2024, a Ministerial Advisory Committee is to be established.
The role of the Committee is to provide advice to the Minister for Defence on a range of matters, including on the performance of the Regulator and the suitability of the Regulator for ensuring nuclear safety.
The Ministerial Advisory Committee is supported by the Department of Defence as the Department State for the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator.
